Pool fire at 30 acres
The Pool fire has burned an estimated 30 acres of Oregon Department of Forestry land east of Agency Lake, south of Chiloquin and is growing. There is currently no containment.
There are no reported injuries, but multiple structures are threatened.
Level 3 “Go” evacuations were issued for residents to the south of South Chiloquin Road on Blue Pool Way to Witam Bluff Drive, but those have since been lifted.
Klamath County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Search and Rescue Volunteers are in the process of evacuating affected residents, an ODF news release said.
The fire was first reported at 2:30 this afternoon and its cause is under investigation.
The Pool Fire, along with the Cutoff Fire and fire near Gold Hill, is the third fire currently active in Southern Oregon.
