Ashland girls finish third in Christmas Classic
Junior guard Liz White generated 15 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists and two steals to guide tournament host Cascade Christian to third place in the Dutch Bros Christmas Classic with a 52-46 win over Ashland in girls basketball action Saturday at Cascade Christian High School.
Katelyn Willard and Elliana Hagloch chipped in 11 points apiece for the Challengers (6-2).
Hagloch was 5-for-8 from the field and grabbed five rebounds. Paisley Fish had eight points, four rebounds and three assists, while Sophie Ferreira added seven points, five boards and a blocked shot.
The Grizzlies (5-3) were led by Nina Munson’s 16 points and Jayd Sollinger’s 12.

NORTH EUGENE 54, ASHLAND 32: North Eugene, ranked ninth in Class 5A, placed fourth while improving its record to 5-5 with the win over its Midwestern League rival.
Ashland placed sixth and dropped to 4-5 the season.
ROSEBURG 73, RED BLUFF 57: Roseburg’s first tournament victory gave it seventh place over eighth-place Red Bluff, Calif.
