Federal relief funds available for RCC students
Rogue Community College students enrolled in spring term classes can apply for one-time grants of $500, part of the college’s second round of federal stimulus funding, according to a news release.
The stimulus funding, part of the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, supports “students with exceptional need due to the coronavirus pandemic,” the release said.
The grants do not need to be repaid and do not affect financial aid eligibility. Applicants must confirm the funds will be used for education or emergency-related expenses such as tuition, course materials, food, housing, health care, childcare, or transportation.
The grants are available on a first come, first served basis. Applications will start processing April 14 and will continue until funds are depleted. Visit roguecc.edu/relief-grants.
