Controlled burn planned south of Ashland Wednesday

Forestry crews will conduct a controlled burn just south of Ashland at 9 a.m. Wednesday, according to a news release.

The burn, intended to remove burn piles, will be held in the Eastview Trail area near Four Corners, the release said. There will be areas with heavy smoke, but there won't be any road or trail closures.

Partner agencies from the Ashland Forest Resiliency Project and the Rogue River-Siskiyou Mountain Ranger District will manage the burn.
